Almost all know the words of Nessun dorma. The most beloved Arias of Opera cross time and space, transforming sometimes their meaning.

The emotion of the Tenor Luciano Pavarotti as well as of the audience is palpable in this video. In 2006 the famous and several times performed Aria from Giacomo Puccini’s Turandot left the theatres to reach the Turin Winter Olympic Games.

"At dawn, I will win" stirs up the sports community. How many know that in the original work the Canto comes from Prince Calaf, who was the only survivor of the terrible game of the three enigmas that took the lives of all other suitors of Queen Turandot?

By reading, listening and learning to put into context the most famous Arias, the Summer School “The Country of Belcanto” will give you the chance to understand the relation between words and music of Opera
